Dr. Roger Cui is an international concert pianist, collaborative pianist, and artistic executive. A former laureate of the Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition (2005, 2007), Roger has also been awarded major prizes at a number of international piano competitions such as the Cleveland International Piano Competition (Ohio, USA), Kerikeri International Piano Competition (New Zealand), Southern Highland International Piano Competition (Sydney, Australia), and J.S. Bach International Music Competition (Berlin, Germany). Roger holds a Master of Music from the University of Music in Karlsruhe (2012, HfM Karlruhe, Germany), and a Doctor of Musical Arts from Griffith University Queensland Conservatorium (2022, Brisbane). He is represented by Yamaha Music Europe GmbH, as well as Kayserburg International. Roger is a co-founder of the Black-Note Production Studio in Hamburg, and has an active solo, concerto, and chamber music concert schedule in Europe, Asia, and Oceania. Since 2024, Roger is the Principal Pianist at Queensland Ballet.
